Duval County Clerk of the Circuit and County Courts

Ronnie Fussell - Assumed Office 2013

Domestic Relations - General Information

The Domestic Relations Depository is the Official Recorder Keeper for the Florida State Disbursement Unit (FLSDU). If a court order stipulates that child support, arrearage, or alimony payments should be made through the FLSDU, then the Depository will maintain the records for the case. The Depository will only take first time payments and purge payments. All future payments unless otherwise instructed should be made to the FLSDU at the following address: FLSDU, P.O. Box 8500, Tallahassee, FL 32314-8500 or for an additional fee, you may also make payments online at MyFloridaCounty.com or at any money gram or western union location.

Manner of Payment

First-time payments may be made by cash, a cashier’s check, money order, personal check, or certified check (issued by a bank) to the Domestic Relations Depository (obtaining a receipt therefore) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except legal holidays) at the cashier windows West #2 and 3. Please note any form of payment, other than cash, at the Depository will have a standard hold of two (2) business days, to ensure all funds are properly allocated. NOTE: Subsequent payments are paid directly to FLSDU, (at address above). If the case has not been set-up, a signed copy of the court order directing payments is required, along with pertinent information regarding names, dates of birth, social security numbers, address of each child and name and address of the custodial person and non-custodial person.

Purge payments may be made by cash, cashier check, money orders, or certified checks, but NO personal checks.

Office Information

We can be reached at (904) 255-2000 from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, and are located in the Duval County Courthouse, 501 West Adams Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202.

NOTE: In 1999, federal law required the State of Florida to collect child support through a state disbursement unit (SDU), known as (FLSDU) Florida State Disbursement Unit. Most child support payments are now processed through the FLSDU. Due to the magnitude of cases that go through the FLSDU a customer service system has been set up at the Tallahassee FLSDU for your conveyance. This Voice Response System can give you information about your account automatically. It will be able to tell you when the last check was issued to you. However, you will need your social security number and case number to get this information. If you do not have your case number, you can get it from the office of the Clerk in the county in which your support was ordered. The Voice Response Unit number is 1-877-769-0251. You can also obtain information on the last 5 payments made at MyFloridaCounty.com.
