Official Records And Research
Official Records SearchThe Official Records Department is the keeper of all documents (known as instruments) recorded in Duval County. These include marriage licenses, deeds, mortgages, judgments, claims of lien, satisfactions, and any other instrument or document that is recorded according to the laws of the State of Florida. Order Electronic Certified Copies of Official Records
Purchase Certified CopiesElectronic certified copies of Official Records recorded since 1988 can be ordered through eCertify from the comfort of your own home or office. Your secure electronic certified documents will be available to download immediately after purchase. Electronic certified documents will have a unique code as well as an electronic stamp and seal at the bottom of the document. Best of all, when you purchase an eCertified document, the file will be available to download via email link for a 30-day period. Once you download your eCertified document, you can print as many copies as you would like without having to purchase additional certified copies from the Clerk’s Office. Anyone can authenticate electronic certified documents at any time by either using a clickable link on the document's cover page or scanning the QR code also found on the cover page.
eCertified documents are accepted by both federal and Florida state agencies and should also be accepted by all other entities requiring certified copies. If you require a certified document for a state agency outside Florida, you may wish to confirm with that agency that they will accept an electronically certified document. If you purchase an eCertified document that was not accepted by an institution, the Clerk’s Office will provide a manually-stamped certified document free of charge.
