Unclaimed Funds

Anyone who has a claim of money held by the Duval County Clerk of the Courts may visit www.duvalclerk.com and select the Finance and Accounting from Departments and scroll to “Outstanding Checks” to search for outstanding amounts due them. According to Section 116.21, Florida Statutes, regarding unclaimed court-related property, if a claim is not made against these funds by September 1, 2024, the funds will be forfeited.

To search for unclaimed towing and storage funds held by the Clerk in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 713.78, enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)/case number and/or Owners Name. If a record is found, please contact us via the email link provided on the record. The list includes monies paid to the Clerk prior to January 1 of the preceding year. If a claim is not made against these funds by September 1st, 2025, the funds will be forfeited in compliance with Florida Statute Section 116.21.

The Clerk’s Office maintains unclaimed checks for a two year period before escheating them to the State of Florida. To search for unclaimed checks held by the Clerk, please enter your name in the field below. If your name is found, please contact us at Finance.Clerk@DuvalClerk.com to claim your funds.

Funds already escheated to the State can be claimed through the Florida Bureau of Unclaimed Property.
