Content scam alert on a phone in a woman's hands

SCAM ALERT

May 27, 2025
There has been a recent wave of scam text messages related to traffic citations.
The texts advise that you have an unpaid traffic citation and that failure to pay could result in your driving privileges being suspended. They may include a fake traffic citation number or even refer to a real citation you may have received in the past - even if it has already been fully resolved. Often, the text will include a fraudulent link to a payment website. Please know that this is a SCAM!

Neither #YourDuvalClerk or any other government agency will ever contact you via text regarding an outstanding traffic payment. If you receive such a text, please do not click the payment link. You may even wish to block the sender from texting you in the future.

When in doubt, you can always contact our traffic department for assistance at (904) 255-2300 or http://www.duvalclerk.com/.../criminal-court.../traffic
